In each challenge, a real chef review gives you clues for what a dish needs. Maybe it needs something salty, rich, sweet, crunchy, or spicy. Compete against two other players and choose an ingredient to improve the recipe. There are two ways to win. The first is immediate "AI Chef Review" scoring, which is based on over a million chef reviews of real recipes. The second is by getting votes from the community of Chef League players.
The game was created as a fun creative outlet by a scientist at Harvard University who studies flavor and how chefs invent, improvise, and edit recipes.
